Q. How will pharmahandbook 2010 be made available to customers?
A. The Sixth (2009) Edition of PharmaHandbook will be made available to customers in two separate volumes. Volume 1 covers Developed Markets while Volume 2 covers Emerging Markets.

Q. Will this approach change the content of pharmahandbook?
A. No. As we have done in the past, VOI Consulting continues to expand and improve the quality and scope of analysis in PharmaHandbook but the publication will be similar in content and format to previous editions.

Q. How many countries are contained in the two Volumes of pharmahandbook 2010?
A. Each volume contains analysis on 20 countries. The total number of markets covered in the two volumes is 40. Cumulatively, these 40 countries represent over 99% of global pharmaceutical sales.

Q. Which countries are included in Volumes 1 and 2?
A. Volume 1 includes analysis on major developed world markets including the U.S., Japan, the countries of Western Europe, Canada, Australia and so on. Volume 2 includes analysis on emerging markets such as India, China, Russia, the countries of Latin America, Turkey, etc. For a full list of markets in each volume click here.

Q. Why has VOI Consulting decided to publish pharmahandbook in two volumes?
A. There are a couple of major reasons we are producing two volumes:
1. Many of our customers operate their businesses on a developed / emerging world basis. Two separate volumes allow customers to purchase the coverage that is most relevant to them.
2. 2009 marks the Sixth Edition of PharmaHandbook. As we have added new countries, new topics and more in-depth coverage of existing topics, the publication has grown in length by roughly 33% each year. While the First Edition of PharmaHandbook was approximately 200 pages in length, the 2009 version will be closer to 1,000 pages in total. As a result, the process has become unwieldy both from analytical and production perspectives. Two volumes will allow us to improve the timeliness of the information and keep the length within printing and binding limits.

Q. What is the pricing for the two volumes of pharmahandbook 2010 and are there discounts available for purchasing both volumes?
A. Each volume is available separately for $497. Customers who purchase both volumes at the same time will receive a 25% discount, for a total purchase price of $750. Other discounts, such as the ability to purchase PharmaHandbook in both hardcopy and electronic format for only $100 extra, continue to apply.

Q. What is the publication schedule for pharmahandbook 2010?
Volume 1: Developed Markets will be published in June, 2009. Volume 2: Emerging Markets will be published in early July 2009.
